West Ridge Trail

Beech West Ridge Trail is a moderately trafficked out and back trail that is located at Long Pond near Southwest Harbor. The trail takes you up to the peak of Beech Mountain, giving you a great view of Long Pond. Beech West Ridge Trail connects to Long Pond Path, Valley Trail, Beech Mountain Loop Trail, and Beech South Ridge Trail.

Jordan Cliffs Trail

Jordan Cliff Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located by Jordan Pond near Seal Harbor. The trail is a challenging steep hike up the east side of Penobscot Mountain. It is a bit rocky and heavily rooted through the forest before ascending above the treeline. Jordan Cliff Trail connects to Amphitheatre Trail, Spring Trail, Penobscot East Trail, and Deer Brook Trail. The Jordan Cliff Trail is rated an advanced difficulty.

Parking is at Jordan Pond Path then walk down spring trail till you reach Jordan Cliff Trail.

This trail is closed yearly from March-August for peregrine falcon nesting season. For this reason, the team cannot provide an updated TrailView at this time. Please consult alternate resources if you intend to hike the Jordan Cliffs Trail.

Long Pond Trail (Great Pond Trail)

Long Pond Trail is a moderately hiked trail that is located near Southwest Harbor. The trail starts at the tip of Long Pond and continues one the shore side for 1.7 miles, then the trail goes climbs up a section of the Mansell Mountains. The Long Pond Trail connects to the Perpendicular Trail and the Great Notch Trail. The Long Pond Trail is rated a moderate difficulty.

Orange & Black Path

Orange & Black Path is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. This trail is a good wooded hike that goes up by where Peregrine Falcon's nest, because of this the trail is sometimes closed. The Orange & Black Path is connected to Precipice Trail, Orange & Black Path/ Chapman Trail, and Precipice Loop. The Orange & Black Path is rated an advanced difficulty.

Pemetic North West Trail

Pemetic Northwest Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located by Jordan Pond near Bar Harbor. The trail is a steep rocky wooded climb up to Pemetic Mountain. Once at the top the peak of Pemetic Mountain gives a great view of the park and Jordan Pond. The Pemetic Northwest Trail connects to the Bubble Divide Trail and Pemetic North Ridge Trail.
