The Hulls Cove Visitor Center should be one of your first stops on your trip to Acadia. The most important thing to do here is to secure a park pass. This will save you time in line at the check-in stations along Park Loop Road and help the flow of traffic. It will also allow you to park anywhere in the park as many spots require you to display your park pass.

Although there are maps and books to help you get acquainted to the park, the Park Rangers know everything there is to know about the area and are always happy to answer your questions.

Lastly, you can start exploring the park right outside the Visitor Center! There are carriage roads and bridges that are perfect for a walk. The first bridge is about 2 miles from the Visitor Center, but don't worry if you don't see a bridge now - you're bound to see some as you drive along Park Loop Road.
