Mount Desert Island boasts a vast number of dining options including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options in a variety of atmospheres. Maine’s fresh seafood is offered at many restaurants across the island.

The only dining facility actually  in Acadia National Park is the Jordan Pond House. It is most famously known for their popovers and are open for tea time (3:00pm to 5:00pm), lunch (11:00am to 3:00pm), and dinner (5:30pm to 9:00pm). New reservation slots open everyday.

Outside of the park in Bar Harbor there is a wide variety of dining options. The must-try Maine dish is lobster and on Mount Desert Island blueberries are a MUST. Many of the Bar Harbor restaurants do operate seasonally, so make sure to check the hours before arriving.

Food markets can also be found in Southwest Harbor and Mount Desert.

Pharmacy

Bar Harbor has a Walgreens Pharmacy as well as an in-store Hannaford Pharmacy.
