Long Pond Trail (Great Pond Trail)

Long Pond Trail is a moderately hiked trail that is located near Southwest Harbor. The trail starts at the tip of Long Pond and continues one the shore side for 1.7 miles, then the trail goes climbs up a section of the Mansell Mountains. The Long Pond Trail connects to the Perpendicular Trail and the Great Notch Trail. The Long Pond Trail is rated a moderate difficulty.

Ocean Path

Ocean Path is a heavily trafficked trail that is located on the coastline near Seal Harbor. The trail goes along the coastline showing classic Maine coastlines and has picturesque scenery. The Ocean Path connects to Gorham Mountain Trail and Goat Head Trail. This trail is an easy difficulty and is for all levels of hikers.

Parking is at Ocean Path South Parking Area off of Park Loop Road.

Penobscot Mountain Trail

Penobscot Mountain Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Northeast Harbor. The trail starts out at the bottom of Penobscot Mountain. When approaching the summit, the trail gets rocky, and you get a great view of the sea and the park. The Penobscot Mountain Trail connects to Spring Trail, Penobscot East Trail, Deer Brook Trail, and Sargent South Ridge Trail. Penobscot Mountain Trail is rated an advanced difficulty.

Parking is at Jordan Pond house Parking Area then walk down Spring Trail until it reaches Penobscot Mountain Trail.

Sargent South Ridge Trail

Sargent South Ridge Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Northwest Harbor. The trail is a nice route that goes along Sargent Mountain’s southern rocky spine up to the peak of Sargent Mountain. The Sargent South Ridge Trail connects to Asticou & Jordan Pond Path, Amphitheatre Trail, Birch Spring Trail, Hadlock Brook Trail, Penobscot Mountain Trail, Sargent Northwest Trail, and Sargent East Cliff Trail. The Sargent South Ridge Trail is rated as moderate difficulty.

Parking is at the Brown Mountain Parking area. Then, walk down Brown Mountain Connector to Amphitheatre West and then on to Sargent South Ridge Trail.

Cadillac North Ridge Trail

Cadillac North Ridge Trail is a heavily trafficked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. The trail takes hikers through a nice forest and up the highest mountain in Acadia National Park. The summit gives a great view of the whole park. The Cadillac North Ridge Trail is connected to the Kebo Brook Trail, George Path, Cadillac South Ridge Trail, and Cadillac Summit Loop.

Giant Slide Trail

Hunters Brook Trail
