Valley Peak Trail

Valley Peak Trail is a moderately trafficked out and back trail that is located near Northwest Harbor. The trail is a nice hike with open granite faces and has a steep climb that goes up to St. Sauveur Mountain. Valley Peak Trail connects to Saint Sauveur Mountain Trail, Saint Sauveur Mountain Connector, Valley Cove Trail, and Acadia Mountain Trail. The Valley Peak Trail is rated an advanced difficulty.

Parking is at Flying Monkey Mountain Trail South Parking Area off of Fernald Park Road then walk down Valley Cove Trail.

Valley Cove Trail

Valley Cove Trail is a heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Mount Desert. It connects to Valley Cove Road, Flying Mountain Trail, Acadia Mountain Trail, and Man O'War Brook Fire Road. This trail is usually closed during the summer due to Peregrine Falcons nesting in the area.

Parking is located at the Acadia Mountain parking area, on Route 102 near Echo Lake.

This trail is closed yearly from March-August for peregrine falcon nesting season. For this reason, the team cannot provide a TrailView at this time. Please consult alternate resources if you intend to hike the Valley Cove Trail.

Valley Trail

Valley Trail is a moderately trafficked out and backtrail that is located by Long Pond near Southwest Harbor. The trail is a nice hike through a spruce forest that has many rocks. Valley Trail connects to Beech Cliff Loop Trail, Canada Cliff Trail, Beech South Ridge Trail, and Long Pond Trail. The Valley Trail is rated a moderate difficulty.

Cold Brook Trail

Cold Brook Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located next to Long Pond Near Southwest Harbor. Cold Brook Trail is used as a connector trail to get to many of the West Mountain Trails. The Cold Brook Trail connects to Long Pond Trail, Mansell Mountain Trail, and Gilley Trail. This trail is good for all levels of hikers.

Canada Cliff Trail

Canada Cliff Trail is an out and back type of trail that connects two parking areas and can be done in a loop with Beech Cliff Trail. This trail is moderately rated and dogs are allowed. dogs cannot go on Beech Cliff Trail due to ladder rungs though.

Parking at the end of beech hill road or at Echo Lake parking area.
