Grandgent Trail

Grandgent Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located by Sargent Mountain near Bar Harbor. The trail is a rocky wooded hike that goes through a pine forest that goes up to Grandgent Peak. The Grandgent Trail connects to Giant Slide, Sargent South Ridge Trail, Sargent East Cliff Trail, and Sargent Northwest Trail.

Parking is at Giant Slide Parking Area off of Sound Drive then walk down Giant Slide trail until you reach Grandgent Trail.

Hadlock Brook Trail

Hadlock Brook Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Northeast Harbor. The trail is a nice wooded hike that features bridges and waterfalls. From the Hadlock Brook Trail, hikers can access Bald peak Trail, Hadlock Loop, Parkman Mountain via Hadlock Falls, and Sargent South Ridge Trail. The Hadlock Brook Trail is rated an advanced difficulty.

Parking is at Norumbega Mountain Pull parking off of State Route 3.

Beachcroft Path

Beachcroft Path is a moderately trafficked out and back trail that is located near Bar Harbor. The trail starts in the woods and leads to stone steps with a good view of the valley. At the summit of Champlain Mountain, there are great views of the park below. The Beachcroft Path connects to Jesup path, Kurt Diederich's Climb, Kane Path, Champlain North Ridge Trail, and Champlain South Ridge Trail.

Beech Cliff Loop

Beech Cliff Loop is a ladder trail located near echo lake. Going Counter clockwise around the loop is ideal so that you only go up the ladder rungs. It is on a cliff face and has a great view of echo lake. This trail is not recommended for dogs due to the ladder rungs.

Beehive Trail

The Beehive Trail is one of the most beautiful and heavily trafficked trails that Acadia National Park has to offer. Located near Seal Harbor this trail is 1.4 miles long. Beehive Trail is an exposed iron rug climb. The Beehive Trail connects to Bowl Trail, Champlain South Ridge Trail, and Gorham Mountain Loop. The Beehive Trail is rated advanced and is not recommended for small children or people with a fear of heights.

Parking is at Beehive Trailhead Parking Area little down the road on Park Loop Road.

Acadia Mountain Trail

Acadia Mountain Trail is a heavily trafficked trail located on the western side of Mount Desert Island. It connects to Man O War Brook Fire Road as well as Ledge Trail. This steep and rocky climb is rated as hard. The trail is dog friendly and is an out and back hike.

Ladder Trail

Ladder Trail is a heavily trafficked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. Ladder Trail offers a fun and exciting route to the top of Dorr Mountain. Hikers have to hike up a steep trail and use iron rungs to get to the top. Ladder Trail connects to Schiff Path and Kane Path. The Ladder Trail is rated an advanced trail.

Schiff Path

Schiff Path is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. The trail starts out gentle with a main twist and turns then sharply ascends up to the peak of Dorr Mountain.
