Lower Harbor Trail

Lower Harbor Trail is a lightly trafficked trail located near Winter Harbor across the harbor from the rest of Acadia National Park. Lower Harbor Trail is over the water giving you good views during the hike. The Lower Harbor Trail connects to Buck Cove Mountain Trail. Lower Harbor Trail is about 2.8 miles long and is good for all skill levels of hikers.

Parking at Schoodic Woods Campground and on Farview Drive right by the trailhead.

Schoodic Head Trail

Schoodic Head Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Winter Harbor across the harbor from the rest of Acadia National Park. The trail is a 1.1 mile-long wooded trail that goes from Schoodic Head to Blueberry Hill Road. Schoodic Head Trail connects to Anvil Trail, East Trail, and Buck Cove Mountain Trail. Sundew Trail

Buck Cove Mountain Trail

Buck Cove Mountain Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Winter Harbor across the harbor from the rest of Acadia National Park. Buck Cove Mountain Trail is 5.6 miles and consists of a wood setting with many wildflowers. Buck Cove Mountain Trail connects to East Trail, Schoodic trailhead, and Anvil Trail. This trail is good for all skill levels.

The closest parking is at the end of Mountain Road near Schoodic Head. Park then walks to Schoodic Head and then up Buck Cove Mountain Trail.

East Trail

East Trail is a moderately trafficked trail near Winter Harbor. This trail has steep rocks and goes to the top of Schoodic mountain where Schoodic overlook is. Dogs are allowed on this trail.

Anvil Trail

Alder Trail

Alder Trail is located near Winter Harbor, across the harbor from the rest of Acadia National Park. Alder Trail is 1.3 miles long and consists of a great forest setting. The trail is good for all levels of hikers. Alder Trail connects to Anvil Trail along Schoodic Loop Road and can be walked as a loop to get back to the start of the Alder trail.
