Hemlock Trail

Hemlock Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. Hemlock Trail is a nice walk through a meadow with birch and hemlock trees. The Hemlock Trail connects to Stratheden Path, Kebo Mountain Trail, Dorr North Ridge Trail, and Gorge Path. Hemlock Trail is good for hikers of all levels.

Parking is at Sieur de Monts Nature Center Parking Area.

Jesup Path

Jesup Path is a moderately trafficked path that is located near Bar Harbor, right by the Nature Center. The Jesup Path is an easy trail that follows a gravel path up to the Nature Center. This trail connects to the Kane Path, and Emery Path. The Jesup Path is a good trail for hikers of all skill levels.

Parking is at Beachcroft Path parking off of Otter Creek Drive.

Kurt Diederich’s Climb

Kurt Diederich’s Climb is a moderately hiked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. Kurt Diederich’s Climb is a path up to the peak of Dorr Mountain, it goes up rock steps. It is regarded as the hardest way up Dorr Mountain. Kur Diederich’s Climb connects Schiff Path, Kane Path, and Beachcroft Path. Kurt Diederich’s Climb is rated as advanced difficulty. 

Parking is at Beachcroft Path Parking Area, then hike to the intersection of Kurt Diederich’s Climb and Kane Path.

Dorr North Ridge Trail

Dorr North Ridge Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. The trail starts in a nice wooded forest and goes up past the tree line close to the peak of Dorr Mountain. The Dorr North Ridge Trail connects with Hemlock Trail, Kebo Mountain Trail, Cadillac-Dorr Connector, Schiff Path, and Dorr Mountain Ladder Trail. The Dorr North Ridge Trail is rated a moderate difficulty.

Parking is at George Path Parking area then walks down George Path to Hemlock Trail to Dorr North Ridge Trail.

Gorge Path

Gorge Path is a heavily trafficked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. This trail featured two gorges between Cadillac Mountain and Dorr Mountain with steep gorge walls. The Gorge Path connects to Kebo Brook Trail, Hemlock Trail, Cadillac-Dorr Connector, A. Murray Young Trail, and Cadillac Summit Loop.

Cadillac North Ridge Trail Parking Area then walk down Kebo Brook Trail until you reach Gorge Path.

Hemlock Road

Hemlock Road follows beside Jesup path and goes from the nature center to park loop road near Kebo Valley golf course. it connects to Great Meadow Loop and other trails near the nature center. This trail is dog friendly.

Park at Sieur de Monts Nature Center.

A. Murray Young Path is a moderately trafficked trail that is located between Cadillac Mountain and Dorr Mountain. The trail starts out mellow and goes through a wooded path into a gorge. The end of the trail is rugged and has hikers walking through a series of rough rocks. A. Murray Young Path connects to Gorge Path, Cadillac-Dorr Connecter, and Canon Brook Trail. Dogs are allowed on this trail.

Ladder Trail
