West Ledge Trail

West Ledge Trail is a moderately trafficked out and back trail that is located near Southwest Harbor. The trail is a nice hike with some elevation through a pine forest. The West Ledge Trail connects to the Bernard Mountain Trail that leads up to the summit of Bernard Mountain.

Parking is on Seal Cove Road.

Wonderland Trail

Wonderland Trail is a heavily trafficked trail that is located near Winter Harbor across the harbor from the rest of Acadia National Park. Wonderland Trail goes through a lovely forest before going out to the water. The trail is 1.6 miles long and is for all levels of hikers. It is a popular trail for these reasons.

There is parking right outside of the trailhead on Seawall Road.

Western Mountain Connector

Western Mountain Connector is a short, forested trail that connects Mansell Mountain to Beech Mountain.

Park at the end of Mill Field Road near Gilley Field or on the side of Long Pond Road at the intersection with Lurvey Spring Road.

Anvil Trail

Anvil Trail is a moderately trafficked trail near Winter Harbor, across the harbor from the rest of Acadia National Park. The Anvil trail is a wooded hike through a spruce-fir forest. The Anvil Trail connects to Schoodic Head Trail, East Trail, and Buck Cove Mountain Trail. This trail is rated a moderate difficulty.

Bald Peak

Bald Peak is a moderately trafficked out and back trail that is located near Northwest Harbor. The trail follows steam up a trail that goes up to Bald Peak through a forest. The Bald Peak connects to Parkman Mountain Trail, Hadlock Loop, and Hadlock Brook Trail.

Parking is at Parkman Mountain Parking Area then hike the Hadlock Loop until you reach the trailhead of Bald Peak Trail.

Asticou Ridge Trail

The Asticou Ridge Trail is a lightly trafficked loop trail located near Seal Harbor. The trail connects to the Eliot Mountain Trail and to the Asticou And Jordan Pond Path.

Parking can be found along the road on Route 3, at the Eliot Mountain Trailhead.

Beech Mountain South Ridge Trail

Beech Mountain South Ridge Trail is a moderately trafficked trail located next to Long Pond near Southwest Harbor and has a fire tower perched at the summit. The trail takes you through a wooded forested valley then you ascend to the Beech Mountain peak. The Beech Mountain South Ridge Trail connects to Valley Trail and Beech Mountain Trail. Beech Mountain South Ridge Trail is rated a moderate difficulty.

Beech Cliff Loop

Beech Cliff Loop is a ladder trail located near echo lake. Going Counter clockwise around the loop is ideal so that you only go up the ladder rungs. It is on a cliff face and has a great view of echo lake. This trail is not recommended for dogs due to the ladder rungs.

Birch Spring Trail

Birch Spring Trail is a moderately trafficked out and back trail that is located by Jordan Pond near Seal Harbor. The trail is a nice hike through a spruce forest and is used more as a connector trail. The Birch Spring Trail connects Jordan Stream Trail, Asticou & Jordan Pond Path, Jordan Cliff Trail, and Penobscot Mountain Trail. Birch Spring Trail is rated a moderate difficulty.
