Satterlee Trail

Satterlee trail connects schooner head road to Sand Beach. It is a heavily trafficked trail and is dog-friendly. This trail is for all skill levels and offers a different way to get to Sand Beach without having to park in the busy parking area.

Either Sand Beach parking or end of Schooner Head road.

Bowl Trail

Bowl Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is located near Bar Harbor. This trail is a rewarding hike through a wooded area that goes up to Bowl lake and its picnic area. The Bowl Trail connects to Champlain South Ridge Trail, Beehive Trail, and Gorham Mountain Trail.

Beehive Trail

The Beehive Trail is one of the most beautiful and heavily trafficked trails that Acadia National Park has to offer. Located near Seal Harbor this trail is 1.4 miles long. Beehive Trail is an exposed iron rug climb. The Beehive Trail connects to Bowl Trail, Champlain South Ridge Trail, and Gorham Mountain Loop. The Beehive Trail is rated advanced and is not recommended for small children or people with a fear of heights.

Parking is at Beehive Trailhead Parking Area little down the road on Park Loop Road.
